We currently have an assignment for a Senior Project Controls Manager with one of our top clients.  Our client is a full-service consulting firm offering a wide array of Program and Construction Management, Project Controls and Engineering services.  This position is located in Baltimore, MD.

Job Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Senior Project Controls Manager are to:

  • Manage multiple Project Controls Specialists including review of deliverables and staff development
  • Develop and review CPM schedules using Primavera and MS Project
  • Develop cost estimates and review change orders and assess pricing and entitlement
  • Participate in review and analysis of construction claims
  • Serve in a lead technical role on specific assignments and lead or review preparation of reports and other project deliverables including cost and resource loaded schedules, risk assessment and other construction consultations
  • Assume a lead role in managing related contracts and the execution of various assignments from preconstruction through construction including resource planning, progress reporting and project closeout
  • Serve as primary liaison with clients for initiation and coordination of tasks
  • Participate in the development of proposals for new pursuits and lead presentations as necessary

Job Requirements

Specific qualifications for the Senior Project Controls Manager role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Any one of the following registrations or certifications is required: PE, CCM, PSP, PMP or CCP
  • 10 years progressive experience in a Project Controls role supporting public and private sector projects
  • Proficiency in TILOS, Primavera P6 release 7, 8.2 and 8.3, CM14, Unifier or other similar PM / CM software tools is required
  • Knowledge of scheduling, cost management and document controls highly desirable
  • Knowledge of applicable technology tools
